Events!!! Old and New

Last weekend, we had a vendor booth at the Spencer Mackenzie's Block Party. It was a blast!! Thanks to all of our friends that came out to say hello and thanks to those we met for the first time. The music was good and we were lucky enough to be placed right next to Pablo Surf and Ventura Makos. The weather was incredible and everytime our setup gets fine tuned more and more...check it out:

We do have a few new products - we have the women's mandala tank top, and we have the men's pick pocket tee. I will do my best to get those up on the web. Otherwise, they will be available at the next event...that will be the ALOHA BEACH FESTIVAL, September 9th & 10th at Ventura Point on the Promenade Parkway. Come visit us and say hello. We will have all our goods complete with art prints.

See you soon. Cheers.

Mustaches go trans-species

This horse has a mustache and apparently refuses to let his owner cuts it off...by refusing I mean he runs away. Nevertheless, us humans aren't the only ones with mustache appreciation.

For the whole story check this out FULL STORY.
thanks maureen, for sharing.

Booth Metamorphosis

The first event we went to where we had a booth was the Hokuloa. We managed to throw it together a bit last minute, but it was at the beach so at least it felt like home. It went well for our first event. There were a few women who ran up the booth frantically yelling 'I LOOOOOVE MUSTACHES??' and God bless them.

This is how our booth looked, conveniently placed right next to the recycling depository.

A month or so later, we had a booth at the Johnny Cash Music festival at the Ventura Fairgrounds. We definitely had our act together...at least a bit better than the first event. We went out and got sheets and decor to help out presentation. check it out:

We met a bunch of really cool people, a lot of different people. It was quite entertaining actually. When I think 'Johnny Cash Music Festival' I think older folk rock / country, so when a bunch of greasers in sick cars showed up with a tattoos and piercing, I was caught off guard, but loved it. There was also a pin-up girl competition, so there were a ton of girls dressed up in a manner that I only thought existed in old playboy cartoons...fantastic! I apologize for not having any pictures of that.

However, we met a bunch of rad people...this is the only pic I have - two of the many mustache enthusiasts:

Thank you all for the friendly conversation as well as supporting the cause. Cheers.

Cinncinnati Reds, Baby!!

Alright, so if you're not familiar with Major League Baseball, the Reds have the best Mascot...all that matters is the fact that he has a giant mustache:

So Jimmy grew up as a Reds fan as are all the members in his family. He recently took a family vacation where the whole Lipovsky clan attended a Reds game...I wonder if he was on TV looking like this:

Well done sir. Well done.

Trademarked!!

I know I have been lagging a bit on putting up new posts, but that's more because we have been busy and less because I have been lazy. We have a bunch of new hats that will be available soon, as well as new shirts. I'm really just waiting for product shots before we go live with internet inventory.

Last week marked a big triumph and relief - our trademark went through!! yeah!!! That might not mean that much to anyone else, but it's a long process and we finally have a piece of parchment paper stamped with a golden seal with our logo right in the middle of the page...I'll admit, it looks a bit silly having our heart with handlebar mustache in the middle of such an official document.

I will get more photos us as they become available. In the meantime, here's a peak at some newer hats. enjoy.

Mandalas round 2

On the last day of class, we pumped out 3 different color schemes of a different mandala-esque design. Each are 3 layers with some transparents to make 4 color prints (or more).

fall

This was an oops due to a mess up with registration, but happens to be my favorite. you might want some 3D glasses on for this one.

We are hoping to make this into a shirt sometime soon. AND new shirts coming soon...maybe as early as next week. Cheers!

Like Father, Like Son

I call this guy 'my little brother.' He's really my dad, but he decided to grow his mustache out to have sweet curls. I told him how I thought it was cute that my dad was trying to have a mustache like his son...he didn't like that too much. My comment was followed by a "I had a mustache like that before you were alive" response - all good fun, I can assure ye'all. Either way, sweet mustache!! cheers pops.

More Art!!

We pumped out 30 prints in one night - 3 different color schemes, 3 layers each...we are very stoked. Close-up photos coming soon!!!

(And I know the photo is upside-down. This was not an attempt to be 'artsy'...I couldn't figure out how to get it right side-up...although it does look kinda good that way. Nevertheless, all those smart phones do is make me feel dumb.)

Moustaches commanding respect result in bonus pay!!

Moustaches (English spelling) demand respect, at least the good ones do. Apparently, this is known around the world, and is now being used by governmental institutions, such as police departments in India. My buddy RP sent me THIS a few minutes ago. (click on the 'THIS')

The world is a beautiful place...

More Prints!!

These be the first of many prints to come. They are 3 color serigraphy prints (fancy name for silkscreening) done on 140 lb paper. As we go forward, we plan to make a lot of prints, keeping art as a compliment to clothing and accessories. It's more fun for us, and then people can buy prints to matte and frame for home decor if they so choose. In addition, we are planning to make bandanas with similar artwork...please give us some feedback if you are so inclined.

Enjoy.

Old School

This was one of the first hats we made. It was my first hat actually, and I let my friend Karina (below) use it while we were doing a multi-pitch climb in Tuolumne. At the end of the trip, I gave my hat to her and now she takes it everywhere.

New Stuff, News, and Stuff

Alright...

So Jimmy and I have been screening some artsy prints on nice paper. Jimmy finished the first run yesterday...hopefully today or tomorrow, I'll be able to photograph and post them.

In the meantime, I encourage ye'all to send us photos of mustaches or friends (or you) repping out stuff (lovehandleclothing@gmail.com) Here are a few to start it off - enjoy:
